What to expect

A step by step guide from ordering your blood test to sending off your blood sample.

1. You have ordered a blood test from an online laboratory or a practitioner has done so on your behalf.

2. You have received your blood test kit in the post, this will include a requisition form. The information you receive will indicate if the blood sample requires a centrifuge service before it is sent to the laboratory or if you need to fast prior to your blood draw.

3. Contact JM phlebotomy to arrange a date and time convenient for you to have your blood sample taken. If a courier service is required you should book this for the same day.

4. I will arrive at your house or place of work with everything I need to safely take a blood sample. If a centrifuge is needed this will also be done at the appointment.

5. Once I have taken the sample I will complete the paperwork and ask you to check and sign.

6. I will package the blood sample ready for it to be posted or for a courier collection.
